Open Day at Ardagh Creativity and Heritage Centre

Creative Ardagh will hold an open evening on Thurday 17th January at 7pm to showcase their new classes and schedule for 2013.

Why don’t you go along, have a cup of tea and explore the wonderful world of art and creativity in Ardagh Heritage Centre. While they highlight what they have to offer throughout the year, they are also asking you to come up with suggestions for classes you would like to take part in or that you think would spark interest in the county.

The ladies in the centre are open to all kinds of weird and wonderful (once it is legal! and creativity related) ideas. Be it drama, painting, sculpting, writing or anything at all you think would benefit the area and which is not already on offer.

If you have not already been to the centre it is an opportune evening to come out and visit the creative space, you will marvel at the magic it has to bestow.

Some of the classes already planned for the year are “Take a closer look” a Saturday morning art workshop for children to develop them creatively. Adults still life through painting and mixed media Tuesdays 8-9.30pm. A portfolio course for students hoping to attend art college also on Tuesdays 6.30-9.30pm and drop in art on Thursday’s from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Spanish and Chinese classes will resume in February full details have not, as of yet, been finalised.

Pictures and video clips from previous years will be shown on the night which is set to be both informative and fun. So come one, come all to the marvelous world which awaits you. More details can be found on
