I’m an Irish blogger, content editor, presenter and social media specialist based in Longford. With almost ten years experience in the media world, specifically four years in the digital sector, there’s many things I can offer a struggling business to help them get noticed both online and offline. In 2015 I was named one of the top ten entertainment bloggers in Ireland in the Irish Blog Awards. Media HQ named me one of top three young female journalists to watch in 2016. Also in 2016, I was head hunted and hired by Festival Republic to be the official blogger of Electric Picnic festival.

A brief background on this Irish Blogger

From a young age it was clear that I would explore a career in media. Having first written a match report for a local news paper about the school rounders tournament at age seven, a life of journalism was evident.

All throughout school I submitted entries to ‘The Den’ for various drawing and writing competitions, the most memorable being a hand made magazine my school babysitter (who also went on to having a high profile media career) helped me with.

The turning point, and defining moment to my chosen career path was at age fifteen after seeing Greenday perform in the Point Depot for the first time I wrote a review for the school magazine. Fancying myself somewhat as that kid from Almost Famous; a wannabe reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine, I set my sights on becoming a music journalist.

Obtaining a Diploma in Journalism, a HND in Radio Production, an Honours Degree in Media Production Management and a Masters in Digital Media, I was well on my way to achieving my goals. Three of those college years were spent in the renowned Ballyfermot Media College, where my media and management ideals were really formed.

Having worked on numerous high profile campaigns, creating digital content and managing social media channels, not only did I receive a grounded education but the hands on experience to match my qualifications.

My forte is interviewing, as I really get to know my subject and tell their story. This extends to working with clients as I treat each one individually and tell their digital story through their own voice.

My skills expand across a wide range of media including journalism, digital content creation, radio production and presenting, interviews, tv presenting, short videos for the web, photography, social media management and event management.

Some of my achievements include

  • Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur – County Longford Winner
  • Official blogger of Electric Picnic Festival 2016 and 2017
  • Irish Blog Awards and Micro Business Awards Finalist

Based in County Longford, I’m currently working with a variety of Longford town businesses on their content creation and social media promotion.

With a good eye for detail, a creative flair and unparalleled organisation skills, there’s a lot to my repertoire and so many reasons we should work together. Get in touch if there’s anything you need.
