The Driftwood Manor – Fraction of a Wolf

Westmeath based The Driftwood Manor have just released the first single of their forthcoming album ‘For The Moon’. Not drifting far from the lunar theme, ‘Fraction of a Wolf’ is full of dream-like harmonies mixed with a perfect blend of traditional Irish folk.

It’s no surprise to learn these guys were labelled one of The Irish Times’ Breakthrough Acts of the Year for 2011. With three albums, six EPs and some extensive touring under their belt, they have really honed in on their craft.

Fraction of a Wolf is a chill out track, which focuses primarily on intricate songwriting and atmospheric sounds; particularly setting the tone for what’s to come on the album.

They launched the single in Sweeney’s Dublin on March 4, already receiving critical acclaim nationwide.

The Driftwood Manor are releasing their forth album in June, and will no doubt be at the forefront of many festivals this summer.
