Ceol Nuacht: “No Boundaries” gig to aid the refugee crisis
The Last Mixed Tape and The Melted Lady present a night of music to help The Irish Red Cross aid the Syrian refugee crisis
The photo of 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi washed up drowned on a beach has sparked outcries across the world. Nobody wants to sit by and watch these atrocities happen to fellow human beings; not least young innocent, defenseless children.
The Irish music industry has decided to do something about it, in a way that they do best; by putting on one cracking gig. Humans helping humans.
Curated by The Last Mixed Tape and The Melted Lady, “No Boundries” will see musicians and industry folk alike, unite in a night of altruism.
This Friday, kicking off from 9pm-2:30am, The Academy will be home to what is set to be a fantastic night of fundraising.
At only €15 on the door, with two rooms of music, it is set to be a marvelous night of entertainment; not to mention that warm fuzzy feeling you will get knowing you’re helping to make a difference.
We are all a little guilty of playing the keyboard warrior; saving the world through our rants on Facebook. This Friday, you can really assist those who need it most and all the while enjoying some fantastic music.
All acts are playing for free, all proceeds are going direct to The Irish Red Cross.
