The Top Floor Presents an intimate night of top music
An acoustic unplugged night of music in Dublin City Centre
Launching tonight, Monday 07 December, The Top Floor Presents is an initiative by Ceol Caint and pals Synchro Promotions as a way to bring together top Irish talent in an intimate setting. It is the ideal opportunity for artists and fans to connect in an open mic style night in Dublin City Centre.
The idea behind the unplugged, acoustic night is providing a relaxed space, without the hassle of setting up or sound checking. It gives artists the opportunity to play their music in a way which is natural, as if playing from their own homes. It may give them a chance to experiment with a different way of playing their music, reworking songs in a new way, or testing out new material without the pressure of performing.
Each night will feature four or five artists, playing twenty to twenty five minutes each. There is no headline act as each artists plays the same length of time and is of equal importance to making the night a magical one.
The entrance fee is also unique as it is on a donation basis, opening the night up to those who may not be able to afford to pay a fixed rate. The money raised on the night will be split equally between the acts.
The Top Floor Presents is in The Loft in Foleys on Merrion Row, a really cool space which has seen a lot of amazing acts play.
Tonight five amazing acts will come together to launch The Top Floor Presents in an amazing night of top music. The Blood Red Mountain Band, Oak Tree Secrets, Fields, Mongrel State’s Darren Flynn and Grainne Hunt will kick of what will hopefully be a regular showcase. Two further nights will take place on December 21 and 28, acts will be revealed soon.
Doors are at 8:00pm, help us celebrate an incredible year of Irish music by enjoying some of our top talent. #TOPMUSIC
