On completion of my Masters in 2013, I set sail for pastures new in search of an adventure. With job prospects being below par in Ireland, I felt forced to look elsewhere. When a job opportunity came up in Germany I seized it, and began an exciting new life in a new country. Not speaking German or knowing anyone in Germany was a daunting experience but one which ultimately helped form me as a stronger person.

The Irish Times included my story in a feature of young people who felt forced to move abroad for work.
