Now it’s really time to get this party started with a frenzied barn dance along to Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats. At 7pm at the Main Stage it was clear Electric Picnic was far from over. Predicting a riot, or at least a legion of folk ready to make the most of these precious last few hours, we all joined together in a good old fashioned hoolie.

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats are a force to be reckoned with, radiating a contagious energy across the crowd. They played songs you might not realise were theirs, but ones which are instantly recognisable as something to sing along to. It was a folk-rock circus with Nathaniel pulling the strings as the crowd danced along obediently.

Although it was raining relentlessly at this point, that did not stop is getting in the spirit of things. After all, in the final few hours of Electric Picnic the last thing to worry about is rain. This was a no holds barred eclectic mix of country, rock and folk. Consistently good, with slick dance moves and a stellar singing voice; it was a stand out show of the festival.
