Electro-pop outfit Years & Years close the Electric Arena on the Saturday night of Electric Picnic on a high. Having released their debut album ‘Communication’ in 2015, following a succession of EPs, the trio have become one of the biggest acts to come out of the UK in recent years, receiving widespread critical acclaim. The reason for their success is immediately apparent as they don’t hold back with a show-stomping headline performance.
Years & Years certainly got the biggest cheer of the night; adoring fans cramming in to join in the festivities. The buzz coming from the arena was incredible, welcoming everyone to participate.
The throng did not deter those who couldn’t get inside, revellers making the most of it with a dancing circle with loads joining in. Not stopping the dancing from beginning to end, completely in awe of experiencing their favourite act live. A wave of emotion swept through the crowd, evidently full of young people, singing and clapping along – it’s a rollercoaster of activity. Phones in the air capture the moment in time, but one thing that’s for certain is this night won’t be forgotten easily.
